The Descendants of Jacob and Susan Ulrich, 1817-1986
Jacob Ulrich (1791-1863) and Susan Ulrich (1792-1869) emigrated from Zurich, Switzerland to America in 1817, landing at the port of Balti- more, Maryland. They settled in the Northern part of Lancaster Co. in Elizabeth Twp., Pennsylvania. They had nine children. Descendants live mostly in Pennsylvania.

Os oito anos volvidos sobre a 1a edição deste Direito Industrial, o acolhimento que teve, e, sobretudo, a publicação do novo Código da Propriedade Industrial, justificavam a revisão do texto original, aproveitando para repensar alguns temas e desenvolver outros. Foi especialmente revista a matéria das marcas, devido à transposição da Diretiva 2015/2436, tendo a Diretiva 2016/943, sobre a tutela dos segredos comerciais, obrigado à revisão do capítulo da concorrência desleal. Profundamente remodelados foram, também, os capítulos relativos aos desenhos ou modelos e às denominações de origem e indicações geográficas, tendo a matéria das patentes beneficiado de diversos melhoramentos, relacionados com a evolução doutrinal e jurisprudencial. O que se manteve foi o perfil deste manual, que a mais não aspira que ser útil a quem principia ou trabalha nesta fascinante área do direito.

Handbuch Kollidierende Kennzeichen
Unermesslich gross und stetig zunehmend ist die Zahl der auf dem Markt in Erscheinung tretenden Kennzeichen wie Marken, Namen, Domainnamen, Firmenbezeichnungen und Produktegestaltungen. Bei Kollisionen zwischen gleichartigen Kennzeichen (z.B. Marke gegen Marke) bewegt sich die Rechtspraxis auf einigermassen berechenbarem Boden, doch die Beurteilung von Kollisionen ungleichartiger Kennzeichen (z.B. Marke gegen Name) bietet regelmässig grosse Schwierigkeiten. Dieses aus dem Cicerone der Vorauflage hervorgegangene Handbuch ist der Wegweiser für solche Fälle. Es enthält eine ausführliche Darstellung und kritische Würdigung der verschiedenen Arten von Kennzeichen sowie der relevanten Aspekte bei der Beurteilung von Kennzeichenkollisionen wie Kollisionsregeln, Verwechslungsgefahr, Rechtsanwendungshilfen, Gleichnamigkeit, Bekanntheitsschutz und methodologische Aspekte der Rechtsfindung.
