Concentra la información que fue posible acopiar por la vía de la entrevista, de la investigación, de los recuerdos y del análisis de la producción de los investigadores que han transitado por el Instituto en sus cuarenta años de existencia, y constituye un valioso documento por ser una especie de mirada íntima a la vida y obra de los investigadores del IIH.
Methods in prosody
This book presents a collection of pioneering papers reflecting current methods in prosody research with a focus on Romance languages. The rapid expansion of the field of prosody research in the last decades has given rise to a proliferation of methods that has left little room for the critical assessment of these methods. The aim of this volume is to bridge this gap by embracing original contributions, in which experts in the field assess, reflect, and discuss different methods of data gathering and analysis. Catalogue of the Manuscripts of Lincoln Cathedral Chapter Library
This catalogue describes MSS 1-247 and 298 in the Chapter Library of Lincoln Cathedral, plus ten former Lincoln MSS now elsewhere. About half of the MSS were part of the cathedral's medieval Library; nearly all the rest came therebefore the late seventeenth century. Among the MSS, which date from the eighth to the early sixteenth century, are biblical commentaries and sermons, works of pastoral theology and an important corpus of Middle English texts, including the famous Thornton Romances. A group of MSS written at the Cathedral c.1100 is notable for its distinctive decoration. The Catalogue is preceded by a history of the Cathedral Library, based on the rich documentaryevidence, which includes two medieval catalogues. The plates illustrate bindings, ownership marks, important decoration and noteworthy script, including samples from all signed and dated books.
A Martin Family Saga
James Martin was likely born ca. 1794 in Tennessee. He married Sarah Cunningham 19 January 1812. She was the daughter of John Cunningham and Phoebe Dodson. James and Sarah lived in Warren Co., Tennessee and were the parents of six known children. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, California and elsewhere.
