The purpose of this book is to draw attention to the sites of life, politics and culture where current and past generations of the Islamic world have made their mark. The purpose of this symposium was to assist the USDA Forest Service, other federal land management agencies, and the Arizona State Land Office in managing pinon-juniper ecosystems in the Southwest. Authors assessed the current state of knowledge about the pinon-juniper resource and helped develop desired future conditions.
