The Importance of Listening to Children and Adolescents
This volume highlights the importance of teaching adults to listen to children and adolescents, illustrating the principles and contexts that define young people’s tangible and intangible rights and ideals. It reflects on the difficulties that impede the implementation of children and adolescents’ right to be listened to, in line with guidelines linked to national and international policies regarding children and adolescents. The book provides examples of how educational research can be used as a resource for the development of educational processes and of educational systems that put listening and participation at the heart of educational culture, as instruments of intervention and a possible component of social transformation.

En esta Conferencia participaron cerca de ochenta investigadores de la mayor parte de los países europeos, reunidos para evaluar los resultados de lo que parece ser el más grande estudio sociológico internacional en materia de infancia: el proyecto titulado "La infancia como fenómeno social". Este estudio produjo una cantidad impresionante de material: una serie de informes nacionales presentados por dieciséis países, una introducción a la serie y un compendio estadístico. Unsere Gesellschaft steht vor Reformaufgaben in allen Politikbereichen. Diese zu meistern, erfordert mehr bürgerschaftliches Engagement denn je. Eine neue Partizipationskultur ist gefragt, und die junge Generation spielt dabei eine wichtige Rolle. Kinder und Jugendliche sind fast immer von politischen Entscheidungen betroffen - haben jedoch nur selten Gelegenheit, sie zu beeinflussen. Diese Situation zu ändern, setzt vor allem ein Umdenken bei Akteuren in Politik, Verwaltung und Schulen voraus - Kommunen können sich langfristig nur mit der Beteiligung aller Generationen entwickeln. Hyvinvointi- ja terveyshyöty on yhtenäisenä näkökulmana tuore, mutta se sisältää paljon tunnettuja haasteita, ongelmia ja kehittämiskohteita. Pureudun hyvinvointiin ja terveyteen ennen muuta hyötynäkökulmasta. Keskeisen hyötyjän pitää olla kansalainen, asiakas. Sen vuoksi kirjan alaotsikkona on ajopuusta aktiiviksi. Vuonna 2016 kirjoitin BoD-kirjan Soteuudistus - pirullinen ongelma alaotsikolla ajopuu tai projekti. Vuonna 2017 jatkoin osittain soteteemaa aiheella Tietojohtaminen ja tapaus Sote.
