Este libro es fruto del trabajo investigador sobre las relaciones internacionales entre los países bálticos (Estonia, Letonia y Lituania) y España, de la Dra. Arta Antonovica, profesora de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. La Dra. Antonovica es además colaboradora de la Fundación Ciencias Sociales y Mundo Mediterráneo, donde desde hace años viene participando en la realización de seminarios internacionales y publicaciones sobre este objeto de estudio. Se trata de una monografía especializada que tiene por objeto el estudio de la comunicación e imagen de los países bálticos en la prensa escrita española, así como del reflejo de las relaciones internacionales entre dichos países y España, en diarios con posiciones ideológicas y perfiles periodísticos diferentes.
