The functioning of a library has been with a fairly old style for a long time. The process indeed was slow and hence it needed a useful improvement. The electronic and digital system brought about a remarkable revolution in the life of libraries. This led to computer-oriented technologies. Undoubtedly this new system gave a new boost to electronic publications which greatly helped the library budgets. Besides we have taken advantage of the copyright based industries, computer software, intellectual property and agreement having link ethics. The contents have been used in a comprehensive chapters along with a Bibliography.
Preservation of library materials has been a problem since the establishment of the first library in antiquity. Deterioration and decay are part of the inherent factors affecting all organic materials. In order to preserve the knowledge of past generations for the use of future students and scholars, steps can be taken to slow down these natural processes. Digital libraries have various methods and technologies to preserve and use the book, namely, acquisition, classification, cataloguing, accessioning, etc. These are treated as library technical activities and once the book is processed through library it is then ready for circulation to users. Today, global libraries use network security, policies to ensure the implementation of their security model, in maintaing network security, protection of information loss, alteration, unavailability and the safeguarding of the oganisation's network from internal and external threats.
Part I of this book, which comprises the bulk of the volume, consists of a bibliography of approximately 650 publications on child education. The publications include articles from 58 Indian journals and newspapers published in the English language. The bibliography also references books, research reports, and doctoral theses that have been reviewed in journals and newspapers. The bibliography has both an author and a subject index. Full bibliographic information is provided in both indexes. Part II of the book includes a description of a proposed children's university, which would house children from around India, include several centers of research on problems related to child development, and sponsor cultural centers for each Indian State. Also included are: (1) an essay concerning the problems and potentials of research on children's reading; (2) excerpts from the Indian Constitution that concern issues relating to children; (3) statistics on school enrollment and adult literacy in India; and (4) a list of 79 specialists in the field of child education.
