"God, look at it! Look at it, Nash." Perhaps Merak is addressing the Lord as much as his assistant, for what he discovers is nothing less than miraculous. The age-old debate over "Nature" versus "Nurture" is resolved. Humans do possess innate knowledge. In the seemingly empty mind of a child, they expose the seed to the origin of all existence-the tiny bit of information that started it all. But the child is in danger. Researchers have taken it for use in mind-manipulation experiments. Now its mother, Mira, is compelled to rescue her baby. She is driven by cryptic premonitions surfacing from her unconscious mind. She does not know that her abducted newborn holds the answers to her puzzles locked in his brain. Since her insemination, Mira's visions are more frequent, her best friend is obsessed with her dream diary, her neighbor is murdered, and a bookstore proprietor tells her of an apocalyptic prophecy surrounding two antiques she possesses-all linking to the events to befall the child. She must hurry to solve her mystery and save her son, but their reunion sparks a final episode, fulfilling the prophecy and leaving the fate of humanity within an infant's Senseless Mind.

The Last Chapter

Youssef, Vaqar's eldest son, died in the same house he was born in; the very house that became his after his father's murder. No one looked into his father's murder, and no one looked into Youssef's death either, which was perhaps for the best. The saga of Vaqar and his son had drawn to a close with the second murder. The saga was quite familiar to the family elders but they wouldn't recount it to their children; they wouldn't even talk about it with each other. It was a secret, a secret that had been hushed up to protect the family's good name. But discovery of the wedding invitation cards and those letters had confused everyone. No one could believe that Youssef had kept the invites for a ...

Fixed Stars and Judicial Astrology

Perhaps the least understood and most misused elements in astrology today are the fixed stars. Current practice is to consider the stars as no more than mini-manifestations of the planets whose nature they are presumed to hold. The locations of the stars projected onto the ecliptic are then considered valid points for aspectual relationships. No special significance is attributed to the non-zodiacal constellations; nor is a star's location within a constellation given any weight whatsoever. Finally, modern astrology places no distinction on the use of the stars and constellations in genethliacal astrology and the other branches of the ancient art. In this book the natures of the fixed stars and constellations as known by the classicists are discussed in detail. Methods of delineating the fixed stars are indicated, with special emphasis on the applications to judicial astrology. Included are chapters on the nature of the fixed stars; the northern, southern and zodiacal constellations; genethliacal applications of the fixed stars; judicial astrology; and three appendices with information on mathematics and rulership and a complete listing of the fixed stars.

Quest

Hi, I'm Satyen Biswas, a PhD scholar from CU. Welcome to Quest – a love story centred around Animesh and Sudeshna, two college friends of mine who fell in love with each other. Animesh was in pursuit of his dream to become established as a professional actor while Sudeshna's priority was love. However, circumstances forged a conspiracy to screw up their love life. What happened then to his dream and her love? Did the conflict grow stronger or was it overpowered by their love for each other? By the way, I forgot to tell you that I loved Sudeshna madly from the very first day I met her in college.
