Manajemen keperawatan merupakan proses kerja setiap perawat dalam memberikan pengobatan dan kenyamanan terhadap pasien dengan cara merencanakan, mengatur, mengarahkan, dan mengawasi keuangan yang ada, peralatan dan sumber daya manusia untuk memberikan pengobatan yang efektif dan ekonomis kepada pasien. Fungsi manajemen mengalami perluasan sebagai proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, ketenagaan, pengarahan, dan pengawasan. Dalam menjalankan fungsi manajemen diperlukan manajemen sumber daya manusia dengan menerapkan komunikasi terapeutik perawat, manajemen stres kerja perawat dan pelayanan caring perawat, dimana ketiga hal ini berproses untuk memberikan pelayanan keperawatan yang bermutu untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi.
