Poly(o-aminophenol) Film Electrodes
This review book is concerned with the synthesis, charge transport properties and practical applications of poly (o-aminophenol) (POAP) film electrodes. It is divided into three parts. The first one has a particular emphasis on problems of synthesis and structure of POAP. The second part deals with the mechanism of charge transfer and charge transport processes occurring in the course of the redox reactions of POAP. The third part describes the promising applications of POAP in the different fields of sensors, electrocatalysis, bioelectrochemistry, corrosion protection, among others. This review covers the literature on POAP in the time period comprised between 1987 and 2013.

"Nadie pondría en duda la importancia del color en la ciencia y en la tecnología. Campos muy disímiles dependen en gran medida de una adecuada resolución de problemas de color. Por mencionar algunos ejemplos: la industria de la pintura, tanto industrial como artística, de la fotografía, del embalaje y los recubrimientos, en la arquitectura, la alimentación, las artes gráfica y textil, el video y la TV, y obviamente la iluminación. En este sentido los arquitectos, ingenieros, diseñadores industriales y de interiores, los artistas, necesitan no solamente comprender el color sino disponer de un sistema de cuantificación que la colorimetría brinda en la actualidad y cumple su rol en relación a la comunicación. Este trabajo muestra resultados de propuestas educativas en relación con el color y presenta una sistematización de los núcleos de dificultades en la conceptualización de la temática del color, así como algunas estrategias superadoras, conceptuales y metodológicas, transferibles a todos los niveles educativos, desde el nivel básico hasta el posgrado. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
In Chapter One, the authors review the recent developments in the field of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, discuss some of the challenges and compare EIS with the other relevant techniques. The effect of storage time without use (STWU) in the supporting electrolyte solution on the conducting properties of poly(o-aminophenol) (POAP) film electrodes was studied in Chapter Two. In Chapter Three, the authors study the effect of the cerium content on the corrosion behavior of Al85CexNi15-x (x = 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10) amorphous alloys obtained by melt spinning.
