This edition is the reprint of the original report published in 1999 in the Proceedings of the Society of Psychical Research. In 1994 the development of psychic phenomena in Robin Foy's Group at the Scole Farmhouse came to the attention of the Society of Psychical Research. This report is the outcome of a two year investigation of the Group. It was conducted principally by three senior members of the Society for Psychical Research - the authors of this report. The authors' diverse professional backgrounds together with their many years of investigation of paranormal phenomena and the fact that most of the events described were experienced or witnessed simultaneously by at least three seasoned investigators improves the probability of authenticity. In the course of over 20 sittings, from 1995 to 1997, the investigators, together with other occasional researchers/sitters, witnessed a wide range of phenomena and were unable to detect any direct indication of fraud or deception. They encountered evidence favouring the hypothesis of intelligent forces able to influence material objects, and to convey associated meaningful messages, both visual and aural.

Heretics: Past and Present

The occult, the paranormal, UFOs and aliens, the weird and wonderful are all covered in this remarkable and insightful book with new angles on the old and ideas that are only just coming to the fore in modern science. Brian Allan has spent decades going where other researchers fear to tread and asking difficult questions. Now in this all-encompassing book he discovers the depth of those our religious ancestors once called heretics. There was more to their often seemingly strange language; there was insight in those peculiar rituals; there was truth locked away in those arcane ideas. This book is a must for any serious researcher of the paranormal, an absolute requirement for UFO believers and a fantastic first port of call for those still lost on the esoteric highway of life.

Radical Transformation

In Radical Transformation, Imants Barušs leads the reader out of the receding materialist paradigm into an emerging post-materialist landscape in which new questions present themselves. If consciousness has nonlocal properties, then how are boundaries between events established? If consciousness directly modulates physical manifestation, then what is the scope of such modulation? If consciousness continues after physical death, then how much interference is there from non-physical entities? As we face the threat of extinction on this planet, is there anything in recent consciousness research that can help us? Are there effective means of self-transformation that can be used to enter persistent transcendent states of consciousness that could resolve existential and global crises? The author leads the reader through discussions of meaning, radical transformation, and subtle activism, revealing the unexpected interplay of consciousness and reality along the way.

What is mediumship? Why does the quality vary from being so accurate through to being vague and generalised? This book asked both those questions and attempts to provide an honest, factually guide to mediumship and psychic phenomenon. The book initially looks at what it takes to become a medium in simple steps, it then goes on to discuss some of the authors own experience and pitfalls when exploring the unknown. Finally it then goes on to look at evidence from around the world including scientific and peer reviewed cases including that of the Scole Experiment, Electronic Voice phenomenon. Done in a light hearted, easy to read manner, with contributions from some of the individuals involved in the studies, this book offers the reader an opportunity to explore the spirit world in open and honest way, from a typical, everyday person without the nonsense so often associated with supposed mediums and psychics.

Scole Experiment

REVIEW OF THE SCOLE EXPERIMENT IN 'TIME OUT': Is there life after death? Reading this remarkable book may convince even the most hardened sceptic, with its apparently solid scientific evidence for our continuing survival once we have shuffled off this mortal coil. What distinguishes the experiments chronicled here from other attempts to 'prove' that there is an afterlife are the rigorous protocols under which they were carried out. With chance, coincidence and connivance carefully eliminated, spectacular results were still achieved: handwriting, hieroglyphs and messages appearing on factory-sealed film, coins materialising, and lights dancing in front of impartial observers. Written in a calm, precise and dispassionate style, the book comes in advance of 'The Scole Report', which will shortly be published as an official Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research - SPR. -- Time Out, October 1999

A welcome source of analysis and commentary for those prepared to go deeper—and darker—than even most alternative media permit, this collection from one of the most popular conspiracy theory arguments on the internet will assist readers in clarifying their own arguments and recognizing disinformation. Tackling many of the most difficult subjects that define our time—including 9/11, the JonBenet Ramsey case, and "High Weirdness"—these studies, containing the best of the Rigorous Intuition blog as well as original content, make connections that both describe the current, alarming predicament and suggest a strategy for taking back the world. Following the maxim "What you don't know can't hurt them," this assortment of essays and tools, including the updated and expanded "Coincidence Theorists' Guide to 9/11," guides the intellectually curious down further avenues of study and scrutiny and helps readers feel empowered rather than vulnerable.
