This collection consists of the "friendship" book of Ms. Carolina Rohrig. It contains short notes, poems, and artwork addressed to Ms. Rohrig. (SC 2648)
General description of the collection: The John E. Rohrig papers contains a typed memoir of his Korean War service. Rohrig recounts that it was very cold when he first arrived in Korea. The majority of the memoir is about the battle that took place the night of 10 June 1953 in Jackson Heights. He tells of the Communist Chinese Forces (CCF) storming the hill and throwing grenades in the bunkers. He fought several of them in the trenches and later learned that the US forces were outnumbered. He remembers being wounded in the cheek and left leg by an artillery round.
An interpretation of Rohrig's unique deck using stories and card meanings. The authors draw from over 30 years of experience working with the tarot.

David Penhallow-Scott and Jane Hoff have written a fascinating and charming biography of Anna and the five generations of her family as it settled in the Hawaiian Islands. They came as missionaries and sea captains but grew to be power-brokers who mingled and intermarried with royalty. Family photographs and letters complete the intimate look into the sometimes eccentric goulash of relatives who left an indelible mark on Hawaii as it grew from a kingdom into a U.S. territory and state.
