Jeannie and the Gentle Giants

Through the horses and her work on the farm, Jeannie develops new interests, learns to ride and becomes involved in the daily life of the farm, even helping with horse-logging. In turn, Jeannie learns about friendship, love and trust, and ultimately gains the maturity and self-confidence to accept the challenge of becoming herself a care-giver. Out of Hiding

Forget-Sadness-Grass
Forget-Sadness-Grass, Antony Di Nardo's sixth collection, takes its name from the Chinese ideogram for daylily, that tawny orange blossom, an escape of Asiatic origin, which bursts its borders in the summer and, in this book, finds its way into poetry that blurs the line between the cyclical and empirical, between mysticism and lyricism. In poetry that surprises as much as it illuminates, Di Nardo delves into aspects of mortality, of memory and forgetting, the cycles of loss and discovery.
