Post-Transition Metals compiles information on synthesis, properties, characterization, and potential applications of post-transition metals such as indium and gallium. These metals are important for their optical, structural, morphological, and electronic properties. This book provides an overview of the history as well as the physical, structural, optical, and chemical properties of post-transition elements. It also discusses methods for the detection and separation of these metals, including special methods for determining their presence in industrial and organometallic products. The information contained herein is useful for physicists, researchers, chemists, materials engineers, and students.
This book presents the select proceedings of International Conference on Production and Industrial Engineering (CPIE) 2023. It covers the current and latest developments in material and agile manufacturing. Various topics covered in this book include material characterization, agile manufacturing, materials and processing, joining processes (welding), surface engineering and coatings, sustainability in manufacturing, and many more. The book is useful for researchers and professionals working in manufacturing and materials engineering and other allied fields.
This book delves into the methods of synthesis and functionalization of superparamagnetic materials, offering a deep understanding of their properties and applications. It explores the behavioral study of these materials and provides valuable insights into their diverse applications across various fields. A dedicated section focuses on in vitro and in vivo assessment, toxicology considerations, and post-application aspects. Furthermore, the book summarizes the current development of superparamagnetic materials, including an overview of ongoing clinical trials.

These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 19th European Conference on Management Leadership and Governance (ECMLG 2023) hosted by ACI and Bayes Business School, City, University of London, UK on 23 - 24 November 2023. The Conference Chair is Dr Martin Rich from Bayes Business School, City, University of London, UK. ECMLG is now a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 19th year. The key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing are...
This book summarizes the progress in studies of tuberculosis host-pathogen interactions from several perspectives: molecular microbiology, immunology, animal models, clinical studies, epidemiology, and drug discovery. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a severe global public health problem. Complex interactions between environmental, microbial and host factors lead to clinically relevant infections. Studies on bacterial virulence, host-genetic, and immunological factors contributing to the susceptibility to TB provide an ever-growing foundation of knowledge that is critical to finding new interventions. Studies of immune mechanisms against M. tuberculosis infection have identified immunological markers associated with specific phenotypes in the host, providing insight into how they may be used to augment current treatment strategies. Recent advances in diagnosis, therapeutics and vaccines, as well as basic-research oriented studies have shed light on the development of new directions for prevention, treatment and control of TB. Improved understanding of the interplay between the bacterium and host is a key component of reducing incidence worldwide.
