In November 1945 the Director of the Collection Point (the author) received a telegram ordering him to send 200 premier German-owned art works to Washington. He and his officers resisted this command with a written protest that became known as the Wiesbaden Manifesto.

The Lloyd's Register of Ships records the details of merchant vessels over 100 gross tonnes, which are self propelled and sea-going, regardless of classification. Before the time, only those vessels classed by Lloyd's Register were listed. Vessels are listed alphabetically by their current name.

A Companion to German Pietism offers an introduction to recent Pietism scholarship on both sides of the Atlantic, in German, Dutch, and English.
