She was born 5 Aug 1859 the daughter of Andreas Bitz and Elizabeth Schaffner. Christian F. Metzger died 14 Jul 1931 in Challenge, Yuba Co., California. Catherine Bitz Metzger died 5 Apr 1948 in Yuba City, Sutter Co., California. They were the parents of 10 children.
