Primer to Neuromorphic Computing highlights critical and ongoing research into the diverse applications of neuromorphic computing. It includes an overview of primary scientific concepts for the research topic of neuromorphic computing, such as neurons as computational units, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and neuromorphic models. It also discusses the fundamental design method and organization of neuromorphic architecture. Hardware for neuromorphic systems can be developed by exploiting the magnetic properties of different materials. These systems are more energy efficient and enable faster computation . Magnetic tunnel junctions and magnetic textures can be employed to act as ne...
Written and edited by a team of experts in the field, this exciting new volume presents the cutting-edge techniques, latest trends, and state-of-the-art practical applications in linear and nonlinear system modeling. Mathematical modeling of control systems is, essentially, extracting the essence of practical problems into systematic mathematical language. In system modeling, mathematical expression deals with modeling and its applications. It is characterized that how a modeling competency can be categorized and its activity can contribute to building up these competencies. Mathematical modeling of a practical system is an attractive field of research and an advanced subject with a variety ...
This book is related to a research conducted in the field of energy alternative resources, where a option source is used as energy source for charging mobile battery. The coin-based mobile battery charger that is being developed in this research would provide a unique service to the rural public where grid power is not available for partial/full daytime and a source of revenue for site providers. The coin-based mobile battery charger would be quickly and easily installed outside any business premises. The mobile phone market is a vast industry, and has spread into rural areas as an essential means of communication. While the urban population uses more sophisticated mobiles with good power ba...
This book highlights recent research on intelligent systems and nature-inspired computing. It presents 223 selected papers from the 22nd International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDA 2022), which was held online. The ISDA is a premier conference in the field of computational intelligence, and the latest installment brought together researchers, engineers, and practitioners whose work involves intelligent systems and their applications in industry. Including contributions by authors from 65 countries, the book offers a valuable reference guide for all researchers, students, and practitioners in the fields of computer science and engineering.
This two-volume set (CCIS 905 and CCIS 906) constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Conference on Advances in Computing and Data Sciences, ICACDS 2018, held in Dehradun, India, in April 2018. The 110 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 598 submissions. The papers are centered around topics like advanced computing, data sciences, distributed systems organizing principles, development frameworks and environments, software verification and validation, computational complexity and cryptography, machine learning theory, database theory, probabilistic representations.
This two-volume book gathers the proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Soft Computing for Problem Solving (SocProS 2016), offering a collection of research papers presented during the conference at Thapar University, Patiala, India. Providing a veritable treasure trove for scientists and researchers working in the field of soft computing, it highlights the latest developments in the broad area of “Computational Intelligence” and explores both theoretical and practical aspects using fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, swarm intelligence, soft computing, computational intelligence, etc.
About the Book Every success story has its price to pay. So did Shatrughan Sinha (SS) who achieved the impossible twice over. The youngest and the most pampered in a family of academics and doctors where four sons were named after the four brothers of the Ramayan, SS stood out defiantly different. He was born for applause and the limelight; he was besotted with Raj Kapoor and cinema. In the face of stiff opposition from disciplinarian father Bhuvaneshwar Prasad Sinha, mother Shyama Devi’s chhutka bauwa (little darling) set out for the Film Institute of India (now FTII) in Poona. Bombay was the next logical destination. Without Kapoorian good looks or any connection with the Hindi film indu...

This Day That Year as a title came from a TV program of the 90s called “This Week That Year”, that I used to watch on TV. I could relate to it very well as I remembered the release dates of most of the movies of the late 60s and early 70s and when the host spoke about it, I went down my memory lane and loved the experience. Once I became part of Facebook in 2009, I found a great forum to share my experiences of movie releases in Bombay then and now Mumbai. I found a lot of like-minded people who could relate to my post and shared their experiences and thoughts as comments. Quite a few of them encouraged me to share it with a larger audience and hence suggested publishing it. I never thought of doing it but when people kept telling me regularly to do it, I decided to give it a try, and here comes my experiences and thoughts of the movies released in the late 60s and early 70s. Hope you like what you read, though many of the statements would look repetitive. But do accept the experiences of a teenager who turns into a man in 1973.
