Pelaku konservasi harus bisa mengatasi riakriak kehidupan, remah-remah kesulitan, adangan, tantangan, hasutan, dan rayuan iming-iming seperti kilatan cahaya yang tak mungkin ditolak sang serangga malam. Sekolah di Atas Bukit mencoba merangkum fragmen-fragmen tersebut dari sisi pelaku konservasi atau orang-orang yang terlibat, baik yang sadar maupun tak sadar tercebur di dunia itu, dalam menjalani kehidupannya. Tentu masih banyak yang belum tertutur. Perjalanan masih panjang. Tapi begitulah. Bagi sebagian orang, konservasi bukanlah tema, melainkan daya bertahan hidup untuk mempertahankan mimpi.
