It is my pleasure to write the preface for Information Processing and Management. This book aims to bring together innovative results and new research trends in inf- mation processing, computer science and management engineering. If an information processing system is able to perform useful actions for an obj- tive in a given domain, it is because the system knows something about that domain. The more knowledge it has, the more useful it can be to its users. Without that kno- edge, the system itself is useless. In the information systems field, there is conceptual modeling for the activity that elicits and describes the general knowledge a particular information system needs to know. The main objective of conceptual modeling is to obtain that description, which is called a conceptual schema. Conceptual schemas are written in languages called conceptual modeling languages. Conceptual modeling is an important part of requi- ments engineering, the first and most important phase in the development of an inf- mation system.
This book comprises the proceedings of the International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Applications (ICISA 2022). The contents of this volume focus on novel and modified artificial intelligence and machine learning-based methods and their applications in robotics, pharmaceutics, banking & finance, agriculture, food processing, crime prevention, smart homes, transportation, traffic control, and wildlife conservation, etc. This volume will prove a valuable resource for those in academia and industry.
Cyber security has become a topic of concern over the past decade as private industry, public administration, commerce, and communication have gained a greater online presence. As many individual and organizational activities continue to evolve in the digital sphere, new vulnerabilities arise. Cyber Security and Threats: Concepts, Methodologies, Tools, and Applications contains a compendium of the latest academic material on new methodologies and applications in the areas of digital security and threats. Including innovative studies on cloud security, online threat protection, and cryptography, this multi-volume book is an ideal source for IT specialists, administrators, researchers, and students interested in uncovering new ways to thwart cyber breaches and protect sensitive digital information.
The volume contains original research findings, exchange of ideas and dissemination of innovative, practical development experiences in different fields of soft and advance computing. It provides insights into the International Conference on Soft Computing in Data Analytics (SCDA). It also concentrates on both theory and practices from around the world in all the areas of related disciplines of soft computing. The book provides rapid dissemination of important results in soft computing technologies, a fusion of research in fuzzy logic, evolutionary computations, neural science and neural network systems and chaos theory and chaotic systems, swarm based algorithms, etc. The book aims to cater the postgraduate students and researchers working in the discipline of computer science and engineering along with other engineering branches.

Collecting and processing data is a necessary aspect of living in a technologically advanced society. Whether it’s monitoring events, controlling different variables, or using decision-making applications, it is important to have a system that is both inexpensive and capable of coping with high amounts of data. As the application of these networks becomes more common, it becomes imperative to evaluate their effectiveness as well as other opportunities for possible implementation in the future. Sensor Technology: Concepts, Methodologies, Tools, and Applications is a vital reference source that brings together new ways to process and monitor data and to put it to work in everything from intelligent transportation systems to healthcare to multimedia applications. It also provides inclusive coverage on the processing and applications of wireless communication, sensor networks, and mobile computing. Highlighting a range of topics such as internet of things, signal processing hardware, and wireless sensor technologies, this multi-volume book is ideally designed for research and development engineers, IT specialists, developers, graduate students, academics, and researchers.
