What's in the Past
Among the main questions relating to the interpretation of popular religiosity phenomena there are those on the usefulness of historical sources (archaeological and documentary) for the purposes of understanding the mythical-ritual present, on the presumed chronological continuity of practices and beliefs and on the legitimacy and effectiveness of historical-comparative method. Palm Haven
In 1917, it was not San Jose, California, but a small residential subdivision at its southern edge called Palm Haven that incorporated itself as an independent city. The Encyclopedia of Italian Literary Studies is a two-volume reference book containing some 600 entries on all aspects of Italian literary culture. It includes analytical essays on authors and works, from the most important figures of Italian literature to little known authors and works that are influential to the field. The Encyclopedia is distinguished by substantial articles on critics, themes, genres, schools, historical surveys, and other topics related to the overall subject of Italian literary studies.
