Muhammad: Seal of the Prophets

‘Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness is measured, we may ask, is there any man greater than he?’ – Lamartine, History of Turkey It is only lately that Western scholars have embarked on serious objective study of the life of the Prophet of Islam. In studying his life, certain factors must be kept in mind: Was the world in need of a universal divine personal message? Was the life of Muhammad, before he laid claim to prophethood, of such perfect purity as would indicate that he had been chosen? Was the message that he brought illustrated in his life and conduct? The purpose of this study is to institute an appraisal of the life of Muhammad which should be fully descriptive of its diverse facets and should enable the reader to carry out his own assessment of the man as an exemplary human being and as a divine prophet.

Wireless-Powered Backscatter Communications for Internet of Things

This book provides and assesses the techniques required for the realization of practical wireless-powered backscatter systems for large-scale and intelligent IoT networks. It explores the deployment, reliability, and security aspects of backscatter devices for both indoor and outdoor environments. The book also sheds light on some of the recently evolving technologies such as artificial intelligence/ machine learning, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), and multi-tone carrier techniques and identifies their application in backscatter communications. In addition, it offers a valuable blueprint for future studies in the domains of intelligent reflective surfaces, ambient backscatter communications and massive IoT networks.

Are we ready for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi? This book is an invitation to a journey to connect with and learn more about Imam Mahdi in order to be prepared for his reappearance. Over 1,100 years have passed and the Imam has been patiently waiting for us to be ready. With each generation there has been hope but with recent events, we may infer that the return may be closer although we can never be certain, but we have to be prepared regardless. The questions that we must ask ourselves are: Are we truly ready for the return of our Imam? What do we know about our Imam? If he showed up today would we be able to answer him? To serve him and truly be his companions? How often do we even talk about Imam Mahdi (ajtf)?Ayatollah Bahjat has famously said. "I wish we would sit and talk about the time of the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (ajtf), so that we would at least be regarded as those awaiting his reappearance". What's discussed: -Who is Imam Mahdi?-Ways to spiritually connect with the Imam-Our role during the occultation-The 313: who are they and how can we be one of them-Signs of the reappearance and how to prepare for the reappearance of the Imam-The early life of the Ima

The Prophet's Heir

The life and legacy of one of Mohammad’s closest confidants and Islam’s patron saint: Ali ibn Abi Talib Ali ibn Abi Talib is arguably the single most important spiritual and intellectual authority in Islam after prophet Mohammad. Through his teachings and leadership as fourth caliph, Ali nourished Islam. But Muslims are divided on whether he was supposed to be Mohammad’s political successor—and he continues to be a polarizing figure in Islamic history. Hassan Abbas provides a nuanced, compelling portrait of this towering yet divisive figure and the origins of sectarian division within Islam. Abbas reveals how, after Mohammad, Ali assumed the spiritual mantle of Islam to spearhead the movement that the prophet had led. While Ali’s teachings about wisdom, justice, and selflessness continue to be cherished by both Shia and Sunni Muslims, his pluralist ideas have been buried under sectarian agendas and power politics. Today, Abbas argues, Ali’s legacy and message stands against that of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Taliban.
