Amyloid Proteins
A proven collection of readily reproducible techniques for studying amyloid proteins and their involvement in the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapy of amyloid diseases. The contributors provide methods for the preparation of amyloid and its precursors (oligomers and protofibrils), in vitro assays and analytical techniques for their study, and cell culture models and assays for the production of amyloid proteins. Schirrhein et Schirrhoffen, deux villages de l'Alsace du Nord situés à la lisère de la Sainte-Forêt de Haguenau, content leur histoire. Des tertres funéraires témoignent d'une occupation humaine très ancienne et font de ces sites une mine archéologique sans pareille. Plus tard, l'immense silve regorgeait de trésors pour les Schirrheinois, qui y jouissaient de nombreux droits et privilèges. Parallèlement se développa à Schirrhoffen l'une des plus importantes communautés rurales juives du Bas-Rhin. Deux destins différents et pourtant si liés.
