Lo scopo di quest’opera è evidenziare come mondi apparentemente distanti, come per esempio quello latino/romanzo da cui sono derivati l’italiano, il francese e lo spagnolo e quello germanico/anglosassone, culla dell’inglese e del tedesco, siano in realtà risalenti a una medesima matrice, quella indoeuropea, da cui si sono sviluppate gran parte delle lingue moderne europee.
