Aliens to zombies amid a spirited romance populated the pages of The First Second Coming as it explored why people search the skies for messiahs and UFOs. The Search for Truth takes on the science vs. religion debate. Marlene Martindale and Chris Larson are now married, have an infant daughter, live in a small town, and are prospering from Chris expanding business that serves the neopagan community. Marlenes desire for spirituality has taken her from being a secular humanist to a follower of modern witchcraft, and her dream is to legitimize and popularize the faith by establishing a Wiccan religious center that can be a trip destination for worship, instruction, and even fun. The Physical Management of Developmental Disorders considers the role of physical medicine in the total management of developmental disorders. The optimum method of management incorporates the best features of a number of approaches, including drug, orthopedic and psychiatric, and the ""best"" program is designed to fulfill the individual needs of the child. This book is composed of seven chapters and begins with an overview of the field of developmental pediatrics. The subsequent chapters discuss the effect of environment and abnormal sensation on motor development, as well as the essentials of assessment of developmental disorders. These topics are followed by descriptions of four major systems of physical management. The last chapters focus on the role of the parents and physiotherapist in the physical treatment of children with developmental disorders. Physical therapists, physiotherapists, and parents of children with developmental disorder will find this book invaluable.

This new edition provides greater commentary on evidence-based practice, as well as practica...

The Spiral Gospel

How did the author of the Gospel of Luke intend it to be read? In The Spiral Gospel, Rob James shows that the assumptions many modern readers bring to the text - that it claims to be historically factual, or merely regurgitates existing stories - are not those of antiquity. Building on the central insight that it was written for a community who would have used it as their pre-eminent text, James argues convincingly for a continuous, cyclical reading of Luke's narrative. The evidence for this view, and also its consequences, can be seen in the gospel's intratextuality. Context is given at the end of the gospel that informs the beginning, and there are countless other intratextual elements throughout the text that are most readily noticeable on a second or subsequent reading. This deliberate, creative interweaving on the author's part opens up new levels of appreciation and faith for those who read in the way Luke's first audience received his work.
