The book contains the proceedings of the Seventh International Congress on Science and Skiing, which was held at St. Christoph am Arlberg, Tyrol, Austria, in December 2016. The conference was organized and hosted by the Department of Sport Science at the University of Salzburg, Austria. This book offers a broad interdisciplinary spectrum of current high quality research in Alpine and Nordic skiing and in snowboarding. Four keynote speakers and ninety-seven oral presenters have been invited to submit a paper for this volume. The entire scope of relevant topics in skiing is covered by these presentations. In order to maintain a high scientific standard required of this book, a peer review process was utilized in the selection of the papers. In the proceedings of this congress, the keynotes as well as the oral presentations are published. The manuscripts were subject to peer review and editorial judgment prior to acceptance.

SIA-Verträge für Architekten und Ingenieure
Wer Verträge mit Architekten, Ingenieuren, Gebäudetechnikern und Geologen abschliesst, tut das oft unter Einbezug der Leistungs- und Honorarordnungen (LHO) des SIA – namentlich der SIA-Ordnung 102 (Architekten), der SIA-Ordnung 103 (Bauingenieure), der SIA-Ordnung 105 (Landschaftsarchitekten), der SIA-Ordnung 106 (Geologen) und der SIA-Ordnung 108 (Gebäudetechnik etc.). Der Art. 1 zu den "Allgemeinen Vertragsbedingungen" ist dabei in allen LHO wörtlich gleich formuliert. Diese "Allgemeinen Vertragsbedingungen" werden im Praktiker-Kommentar erläutert. Enthalten sind zudem Anwendungsanleitungen zu den SIA-Vertragsformularen (SIA 1001/1 Planer-/Bauleitungsvertrag; SIA 1001/2 Gesellschaftsvertrag für Planergemeinschaft; SIA 1001/3 Subvertrag für Planer- und/oder Bauleitungsleistungen; SIA 1001/11 Zusatzvereinbarung BIM). Auch die Geschichte der LHO wird angesprochen. Das Buch ist in Zusammenarbeit mit dem SIA und der USIC entstanden. Ein Teil der Autoren wirkte bei der letzten Überarbeitung des Art. 1 SIA LHO (2014) und der SIA-Vertragsformulare mit.
