Alex, mid-twenties, a Londoner comes back from travelling and finds himself disconnected. His friends have moved on. He has no motivation in life and he is looking for something to fill the void. A Canadian he stayed in contact with, whilst abroad, calls him and invites him for a drink. She introduces him to a strange gentleman, from Prague, called Dominik. Dominik and Alex connect and Dominik sees in him, an apprentice...as a smuggler. They move to Prague where Alex takes up his role. It is a beautiful city, but Alex feels trapped under Dominik's wing. He meets a girl and secretly goes away with her. In the midst of the action and the revelations, the tale takes out of Prague and into the deathly cold of Moscow.
