This book presents the proceedings of the International Conference SDOT which was organized at the University in Žilina, Faculty of Management Sciences and Informatics, Slovak Republic in November 19, 2015. Modellierung und Transformation digitaler Schaltungen mittels Digital Circuit Petri Nets
Christoph Brandau entwirft und verifiziert digitale Schaltungen unter der Verwendung von Petri-Netzen. Die Generierung einer Hardwarebeschreibung erfolgt dabei durch eine neu eingeführte Transformation des gesamten Petri-Netz-Modells. Die Hauptbestandteile der Studie sind die Definition der Digital Circuit Petri Nets inklusive der Beschreibung von Ein- und Ausgängen, die Einführung von Subnetzen zur Unterteilung und Wiederverwendung von modellierten Netzen und eine Beschreibung des gesamten formalisierten Transformationsprozesses von der Modellierung bis zur endgültigen Hardwarebeschreibung. Electromagnetic Nondestructive Evaluation XXII
The use of electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation has grown significantly in recent years. This valuable technique enables the assessment of objects by observing the electromagnetic response to electric currents and/or magnetic fields introduced within them. This book presents the proceedings of the 23rd International Workshop on Electromagnetic Nondestructive Evaluation (ENDE2018), held in Detroit, Michigan, USA, from 9 - 13 September 2018. The workshop provides an international forum for the exchange of information on state-of-the-art technologies and development in electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation, and the 19 papers presented here cover topics including sensors; modeling; signal processing; inverse problems; materials state awareness and characterization; damage diagnosis and prognosis; biomedical applications; and innovative industrial applications of eNDE. Thinking, Drawing, Modelling
This book presents a selection of papers from the International Conference Geometrias’17, which was hosted by the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra from 16 to 18 June 2017. The Geometrias conferences, organized by Aproged (the Portuguese Geometry and Drawing Teachers’ Association), foster debate and exchange on practical and theoretical research in mathematics, architecture, the arts, engineering, and related fields. Geometrias’17, with the leitmotif “Thinking, Drawing, Modelling”, brought together a group of recognized experts to discuss the importance of geometric literacy and the science of representation for the development of scientific and technological research and professional practices. The 12 peer-reviewed papers gathered here show how geometry, drawing, stereotomy, and the science of representation are still at the core of every act leading to the conception and materialization of form, and highlight their continuing relevance for scholars and professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering, and applied mathematics.
