Rising Concentration in Asia-Latin American Value Chains
Dynamic Asia has overtaken the European Union as Latin America and the Caribbean's second largest export market, after the United States. However, the region's exports to Asia remain concentrated in few commodities involved a small number of large firms. Pada mulanya perilaku kewirausahaan atau entrepreneur-ship diawali ketika manusia telah mengenal konsep ekonomi sehingga sejarah kewirausahaan masih sangat erat kaitannya dengan sejarah perkembangan ilmu ekonomi yang ada di dunia. Berawal dari perilaku-perilaku manusia dalam me-menuhi kebutuhan hidupnya, di mana utamanya adalah mereka berupaya memenuhi kebutuhan yang sifatnya mendasar. Kebutuhan ini oleh ilmu ekonomi disebut sebagai kebutuhan primer/kebutuhan pokok, kebutuhan yang pemenuhannya bersifat wajib dan tidak dapat ditunda lagi. Kebutuhan primer selalu sama untuk masing-masing manusia, yaitu pakaian, makanan-minuman, dan tempat tinggal. Selanjutnya, ada kebutuhan tingkat dua yang merupakan kebutuhan sekunder. Jenis kebutuhan ini merupakan kebutuhan pendukung yang pemenuhannya dapat ditunda. Kebutuhan sekunder manusia bersifat fleksibel dan tidak dapat dipukul rata untuk semua manusia.
