Turnour's Reading on Jointures
Contains "deo duce et auspice Christo. Lectura Arhturi Turnour tempore quadregesimali anno regni Regis Caroli nono annoque Domini 1633 in Medio Templo super illam partem statuti de anno 27 H. 8. ca. 10. de usibus que tangit juncturas." This manuscript is most likely part of HLS MS 117, but is written in a fairer hand and preceded by a brief opening address.
Grant of Arms as Viscount Turnour and Earl Winterton in the Irish Peerage
An illuminated manuscript letter patent on vellum in secretarial hand and finished with a foliate gold leaf border. With a portrait of George III, a vignette of the Irish harp and the arms of the United Kingdom in the upper margin with two additional armorials in the left margin. Also present is the orignal wax Great Seal of George III (15 cm diameter) as well as a contemporary custom-made gilt morocco carrying case by Samuel Barlow of Dublin, trunkmaker, with his printed trade card. The arms in the left margin - belonging to Francis Seymour-Conway, Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland - depict a Black African (symbolizing 'courage') dressed in blue armor with a corresponing shield, across from a lion, both of them wearing a blue and white kerchief. Below this is Garth Turnour's own armorial as Earl Winterton. The document is signed 'Domville' [Sir Compton Domville (1696-1768), Clerk of the Crown and Hanaper] at the foot. The elaborate gilt border incorporates griffons, lions' heads and floral displays. [Adapted from dealer description]
Turnour's Index of Law Reports
Contains an index to eight volumes of manuscript reports belonging to Turnour. Inside the cover is a table headed, 'My reports to which this booke or repertory doth referre thus marked.' (MSS. 1, 2 and 4 in this table refer to HLS MS 105-107.) Not in strict alphabetical order, but with an index of titles at the end.

Contains "Lectura Arthuri Turnour tempore quadragesimali anno regni Regis Caroli 9 ĚŠ1633 in Medio Templo super illam partem statuti de usibus tantum quae tangit juncturas, facta 4 Feb. 27 H. 8. c. 10." This contains the reader's cases, beginning with the 5th case of the 1st division. It is continued in HLS MS 123.
