Unalaska, Alaska is closely based on Wolf Larsens experiences living and working on Americas final frontier. Unalaska, Alaska is about life on commercial fishing boats at the top of the world. The main character Jay works 115 hour weeks on the Bering Sea, which has some of the worst weather in the world. After a year and a half on the fishing boats Jay begins living and working on the island of Unalaska, Alaska which is one of the most remote corners of the North American continent. The novel Unalaska, Alaska is as wild as the island itself - an untamed frontier town where guns and groceries are sold side by side at the local supermarket.

The Alaska Chronicles

The Alaska Chronicles By: Keith A. Nelson This book is a true account of Keith A. Nelson’s travel to and his work on the North Slope of Alaska from 1969–1970. His adventures and the characters he met and worked with were unique, to say the least. It was a time in history when the U.S. was undergoing massive social changes, including Vietnam, drugs, race, and other discontent. Alaska was a far-removed and simpler world, and the last true wilderness in this country, which was soon to be exploited by the oil companies. Readers will find this story very interesting and different from any other adventure they’ve read.

Tragedy meets two Seattle bankers kayaking in Southcentral Alaska's Prince William Sound. Once was killed by falling ice from a calving glacier while the other video recorded the event. The dead banker had been responsible for managing the State of Alaska account at SeaFirst Bank in Seattle. Aliana Pedersen, Asistant Director of Finance for the State of Alaska is tasked with finding a replacement. Shortly after a replacement is assigned, a bank clerk finds irregularities in the account. Alaska State Trooper Reuben Hayes had known all of these people before the banker was killed in the accident. His investigation leads to an affair with the Deputy Director of Finance and embroils him in a case of bank fraud. Reminiscent of Alaska's "Last Bridge to Nowhere" politics, the suspects include a bank president, the manager of the Alaska SeaFirst account and even Alaska's Governor. A local drug dealer, a Mexican Cartel Leader and the FBI round out the characters entangled in this case making it a who-done-it to the last page.
