Information Systems Development
Information Systems Development (ISD) progresses rapidly, continually creating new challenges for the professionals involved. New concepts, approaches and techniques of systems development emerge constantly in this field. Progress in ISD comes from research as well as from practice. This conference will discuss issues pertaining to information systems development (ISD) in the inter-networked digital economy. Participants will include researchers, both experienced and novice, from industry and academia, as well as students and practitioners. Themes will include methods and approaches for ISD; ISD education; philosophical, ethical, and sociological aspects of ISD; as well as specialized tracks such as: distributed software development, ISD and knowledge management, ISD and electronic business / electronic government, ISD in public sector organizations, IOS.
Jugend zwischen Kirche und Staat
Nach wie vor gehort die Geschichte der kirchlichen Jugendarbeit in der DDR zu den wenig beachteten Themen der DDR-Forschung. Mit dieser Studie erschliesst Henning Pietzsch unter Einbeziehung relevanter historischer und politischer Ereignisse Arbeit und Wirkung kirchlicher Gruppen wahrend der siebziger und achtziger Jahre des vergangenen Jahrhunderts. Untersucht werden die Konfliktlinien zwischen der Institution Kirche und der parteistaatlichen Obrigkeit, das Selbstverstandnis und die Motive der Akteure, wobei dem jugendkulturellen und sozialen Protest besonderes Augenmerk zuteil wird. Am Beispiel der "Offenen Arbeit" in Jena geht der Autor der Frage nach, wie oppositionell bzw. widerstandig dieses Milieu war und welche Rolle es fur die Entwicklung der DDR-weiten Opposition spielte. Indem er Selbstzeugnisse, schriftliche Quellen sowie Akten des Ministeriums fur Staatssicherheit vergleicht, zeichnet er die Entstehungs-, Verlaufs- und Wirkungsgeschichte der Jungen Gemeinde Stadtmitte Jena nach.

In the field of international arbitration, both inter-State and commercial, the effective establishment and operation of the arbitral tribunal is a matter of dominant importance. This study examines three salient problems which arise in this connection: the relationship between an arbitration clause and the contract of which it forms part; whether a refusal to arbitrate is a denial of justice under international law; and the impact upon arbitration of the withdrawal of a member of the tribunal.
Content Analysis of Verbal Behavior
The psychological states of patients with diabetes mellitus were compared with those of patients suffering from other chronic diseases and people with no diagnosed chronic diseases. These states were assessed by applying content analysis scales to transcripts of their descriptions of their current experiences. Analyses of the diabetics' scale scores re vealed a pattern characterized by much anxiety, depression, anger expressed both direct ly and indirectly, together with feelings of helplessness.
