Proceedings of the Workshop on Physics at the Japan Hadron Facility (JHF)

This volume outlines the exciting new opportunities in hadron physics which have been created by the Japan Hadron Facility (JHF), a major joint initiative between High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) and Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI). The topics covered include unprecedented possibilities of studying strange matter, neutrino oscillations and hadron structure. The close interaction with lattice QCD is emphasised.

Exclusive Reactions at High Momentum Transfer IV

The Proceedings include talks given at the 4th Workshop on Exclusive Reactions at High Momentum Transfer at Jefferson Lab, Newport News, VA, USA, the world''s leading facility performing research on nuclear, hadronic and quark-gluon structure of matter. Exclusive reactions are becoming one of the major sources of information about the deep structure of the nucleons and other hadrons. The workshop focused on the application of a variety of exclusive reactions at high momentum transfer, utilizing unpolarized and polarized beams and targets, to obtain information about nucleon ground state and excited state structure at short distances. This is a subject which is central to the programs of current accelerators and especially planned future facilities. The topics include: generalized parton distributions, deeply virtual Compton scattering, deeply virtual meson production (DVMP), transverse structure of hadrons (TMD), hadron form factors - elastic and transition, quantum chromodynamics (perturbative, non-perturbative, lattice calculations), and physics to study at an Electron Ion Collider.

Lightcone Qcd And Nonperturbative Hadron Physics, Conf

This volume contains the proceedings of the 'Workshop on Lightcone QCD and Nonperturbative Hadron Physics', held in Adelaide, Australia, in December 1999. The contributions include papers on vacuum structure and zero modes, DLCQ, deep inelastic scattering, lightcone wavefunctions and hadron structure, hadron phenomenology, as well as numerical results from the lattice for both quenched and unquenched QCD.

Probing Nucleons And Nuclei In High Energy Collisions - Proceedings Of The Int Program Int-18-3

This book is indexed in Chemical Abstracts ServiceThis book contains proceedings of the 7-week INT program dedicated to the physics of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), the world's first polarized electron-nucleon (ep) and electron-nucleus (eA) collider to be constructed in the United States. The 2015 NSAC Long Range Plan recommended EIC as the 'highest priority for new facility construction following the completion of FRIB'. The primary goal of the EIC is to establish precise multi-dimensional imaging of quarks and gluons inside nucleons and nuclei. This includes (i) understanding the spatial and momentum space structure of the nucleon through the studies of TMDs (transverse-momentum-depende...
