Three brothers, Thomas (born 1823), Richard (born 1839), and Francis, sons of Thomas Crowther (1797-1871) and Ann Preece (1800-1846) and a cousin, George (1826-1895), joined the L.D.S. Church in Shropshire, England. They then immigrated to Utah. Descendants lived in Colorado, Utah, Alberta, and elsewhere.
