Evolutionary and Ecological Aspects of Crustacean Diapause
Resting stages (diapause) are important for the life cycles of many crustaceans and have played a key role in the adaptive radiation of Brachiopoda, Ostracoda and Copepoda. Dormancy strategies determined by the characteristics of the onset of and the termination of the resting phase have substantial significance for ecological and evolutionary dynamics.
