This book is the first to explore creativity in the Bronze Age as expressed through the medium of clay.
The paper discusses a model in which growth is a negative function of fiscal burden. Moreover, growth discontinuously switches from high to low as the fiscal burden reaches a critical level. The paper provides an overview of key elements of corporate bankruptcy codes and practice around the world that are relevant to the debate on sovereign debt restructuring. It also describes the broad trends in international financial integration for a sample of industrial countries and explains the cross-country and time-series variation in the size of international balance sheets.
This paper explores sources of the output collapse in Russia during transition. A modified growth-accounting framework is developed that takes into account changes in factor utilization that are typical of the transition process. The results indicate that declines in factor inputs and productivity were both important determinants of the output fall. The paper analyzes the behavior of real commodity prices over the 1862–1999 progress. It also examines whether average stocks of health and education are converging across countries, and calculates the speed of their convergence using data from 84 countries for 1970–90.
Light plays a crucial role in mediating relationships between people, things, and spaces, yet lightscapes have been largely neglected in archaeology study. This volume offers a full consideration of light in archaeology and beyond, exploring diverse aspects of illumination in different spatial and temporal contexts from prehistory to the present.

This book might start with »ONCE UPON A TIME«, but fairy tales usually end with a happy ending. The initial situation was so magical. The Kingdoms of Rabenberg and Förden were in close proximity to one another. The two rulers were friends; their heirs promised each other. On the one hand, there was the Crown Prince of Rabenberg, Erik, a blonde 18-year-old from the north. On the other side was the Crown Princess of Förden, Viktoria, who was dark-haired and also 18 years old. Both loved each other, were happy, and wanted to get married at some point. Erik was daring, and Viktoria was good for him. The drama began when Viktoria's 17-year-old brother showed up and brought disorder to an orderly life.
This book is based on real events. Christ lives! This is the great truth that these lovingly written lines seek to convey, for nothing is as true as what is written in the most widely read book in the world, the Bible. In this superficial world, far too little is said about people who have experienced real miracles through their spiritual conversion to Jesus Christ, although it is now known that many of the world's celebrities also acknowledge their success in faith. Having had the good fortune to know some of them personally, I have been fascinated by the fact that most of them have become successful in all areas after the deepest falls in their lives. Especially today, many people dream of easy success; the system teaches us that we don't need God for that. But today, I can testify that without Jesus Christ in our lives, we cannot experience the true core of success that God has in store for each one of us.
