Frackville
Frackville, Pennsylvania, located in Schuylkill County, was chartered in 1876. A group of residents from Frackville and Mountain City had each petitioned to become a borough. The Grand Jury decided that the two areas should consolidate and become the borough of Frackville. After several requests for a second volume of historic Frackville images, local historian Lorraine Stanton has continued the story of this residential town. It chronicles once-thriving businesses, community celebrations, and leaders and members of church groups and clubs. Photo Recon Became Fighter Duty
