"Land Ownership & Use in Wollescote, Old Swinford, Worcestershire 1710-1830 : Transcripts of various documents dated between 1710 to 1830 relating to the ownership and use of numerous pieces of land in Wollescote, in the Parish of Old Swinford, Worcestershire, England" has been produced in the expectation that the transcripts that it contains will be of use to a range of people, in particular local historians and genealogists. Based on historical documents currently in private ownership, the book will be of interest to local historians as it provides a vast amount of information about the use and ownership of land in Wollescote between 1710 and 1830. It accordingly provides an insight into the local economy during this period. Genealogist will find the transcripts of enormous value as they give an understanding of holdings and finances of many important local families, especially the Gough, Hunt, Milward and Oliver families. However, the contents of the transcripts also provide details of the occupation of land in Wollescote by other local people, who may not be otherwise be mentioned in other sources.
