As the Winter Park (Florida) Presbyterian Church approached its sixtieth anniversary, several events and activities were considered to appropriately mark the occasion. One of them was this “Book of Memories.” It is a compilation of stories contributed by current or former members and friends of the church, as they felt inspired, of their memories of our church since its inception -- an anecdotal view of its history. The cooperation of church members was wonderful! Nearly 100 stories were submitted, ranging in length from three lines to three pages. The project was a work of love and inspiration. The Kingdom of Fairwind
Stephen, the King's only son, is bored and tired of the protected life he leads in the palace of the kingdom of Fairwind and decides to leave on an escape adventure. What follows is nothing that he expects and tests his very will to survive. In his absence, an interloper comes in and happily fills his shoes, making the most of the lavish lifestyle offered by the palace. In one of the wealthier homes in Fairwind, an attractive and vain girl named Priscilla stares at her reflection in a mirror and imagines her future in the halls of the palace. I was hospitalized for six days. After Dr. Michael Friedman, M.D., F.A.C.S., my urologist, studied the test and he said that I had a bladder infection, cyst on my kidneys, and my prostate was enlarged which would have to be surgically removed. The medical term is BPH (Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy). I did not have the surgery. In a follow-up appointment, Dr. Friedman and his nurse did a Cystoscopy.
