Crown-magnate relations, the Anglo-Scottish, Anglo-French and Anglo-Irish wars, national and local finance and administration and the nature of late medieval kingship are among the principal themes explored in this volume, along with aristocratic consumption, historical writing, chivalric culture and a review of recent work on crusading history. All newly commissioned from distinguished scholars, they shed new light on late medieval British political, military and governmental history. CONTRIBUTORS: NICHOLAS VINCENT, DAVID CARPENTER, M. L. Welcome back to another issue ov NuShIt! As the title suggests, these 272 pages contain new poetry written & performed in 2019. If it happened in 2019 I probably wrote about it, or took notes for later poems. I have continued trying as many poetic styles as possible (see Keywords), & this year's Special Supplement deals with performance equipment! NuShIt '20 is already in the works & NuShIt will keep coming each new year until I'm dead!
I commend this to the reader and student of Aramaic in hope that this new Aramaic dictionary will help to better understand the Aramaic language .Many Aramaic words have several meanings, as do the words of most languages. There are various English entries for the same Aramaic word in many places,so while the dictionary has over 34,000 entries for each of its two sections, there is approx. half that number of Aramaic vocabulary words in The Peshitta New Testament, from which the Aramaic words are taken. The edition is the same used in The 1979 Syriac Bible and in Online Bible's 1905 Syriac Peshitta NT module (in Hebrew -Aramaic letters).I dedicate this volume to God, Who, I believe, hasspoken each of these Aramaic words and written them to us through His apostles and prophets by His Holy Spirit.613 pages B&W paperback- 4.3x6.9"
The original 1790 enumerations covered the present states of Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia. Unfortunately, not all the schedules have survived, the returns for the states of Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia having been lost or destroyed, possibly when the British burned the Capitol at Washington during the War of 1812, though there seems to be no proof for this. For Virginia, taxpayer lists made in the years 1782-1785 have been reconstructed as replacements for the original returns. In response to repeated requests from genealogists, historians, and patriotic societies, the surviving census records were published by the Bureau of the Census in 1907 and 1908. The twelve states whose records were then extant are each covered by a single volume.
This book provides a detailed study of nonlinear partial differential equations satisfying certain nonstandard growth conditions which simultaneously extend polynomial, inhomogeneous and fully anisotropic growth. The common property of the many different kinds of equations considered is that the growth conditions of the highest order operators lead to a formulation of the equations in Musielak–Orlicz spaces. This high level of generality, understood as full anisotropy and inhomogeneity, requires new proof concepts and a generalization of the formalism, calling for an extended functional analytic framework. This theory is established in the first part of the book, which serves as an introduction to the subject, but is also an important ingredient of the whole story. The second part uses these theoretical tools for various types of PDEs, including abstract and parabolic equations but also PDEs arising from fluid and solid mechanics. For connoisseurs, there is a short chapter on homogenization of elliptic PDEs. The book will be of interest to researchers working in PDEs and in functional analysis.
