Larentinae II
A number of very fine reviews have been written and published in various entomological and lepidopterological journals about this volume 4 of The Geometrid Moths of Europe on Perizomini and Eupitheciini. All the Eupithecia species are illustrated in 1.5 times natural size on the colour plates. A total of 151 species are dealt with in the volume of which 133 are Eupitheciini. One new species is described and a number of species are recorded from Europe for the first time. Volume 4 sets new standards in the study of the European Eupitheciini and Perizomini. African Biodiversity
In May 2004, the Alexander Koenig Zoological Research Museum hosted the Fifth International Symposium on Tropical Biology. This series was established at the ZFMK in the early 1980s, and has variably focused on systematics and ecology of tropical organisms, with an emphasis on Africa. Previous volumes are those edited by Schuchmann (1985), Peters and Hutterer (1990), Ulrich (1997), and Rheinwald (2000).
