A Hagyomány és jövőkép: Anyanyelv(ek), oktatáspolitikai stratégiák, karrierkövetés című tanulmány-kötetet a Márton Áron Szakkollégiumi Program negyedik évfolyamának fiatal társadalomtudósai írták, akik a Kárpát-medence négy magyarlakta régiójához − Erdélyhez, Vajdasághoz, Felvidékhez és Kárpátaljához – kötődnek, ezek egyikében nőttek fel. Kutatómunkájuk során különböző aspektusokból vizsgálták meg szülőföldjük múltjának, jelenének valamely fontos kérdését. Miként a tanulmánycímek is mutatják, legtöbben a nyelv- és oktatáspolitikai, illetve a gazdaságszociológiai és az identitáspolitikai, geopolitikai folyamatok, jelenségek empirikus kutatásával járultak hozzá a szakkollégiumi program sikeréhez. Az általuk vizsgált témakörök fokozott aktualitással bírnak a Kárpát-medencében élő magyarság számára.

Sors-algoritmus
Bánfalvy Réka úgy éli az életét, hogy azt hiszi, minden, amit tesz, a saját döntése. A világon több mint kilencmilliárd ember pontosan ugyanígy gondolja, de valójában mindenki téved. A kilencvenes években egy cseh matematikus létrehozott egy képletet, amely képes felfedni az emberiség jövőjét, a látottak azonban elborzasztották. A jóslat tudatában egy maroknyi csoport megalapította a JövőVédelmet, a titkosan működő, föld alatti ügynökséget, melynek egyetlen feladata: biztosítani a jövőt, ezzel megelőzve a világ pusztulását. A Sors-algoritmus c. regény központi tárgya az életbe való mesterséges beavatkozás kérdése. Lehetséges-e a matematika segítségével megjósolni, majd befolyásolni a jövőt? Mindez milyen hatással van a jelenre? Mi van akkor, ha a jelenben történő bizonyos események miatt jövő mégsem teljes egészében feltérképezhető? Vékony Krisztián Budapesten játszódó regényének szereplői is szembesülnek ezekkel a kérdésekkel. De vajon a válaszokat is megtalálják?
Changes in Care
Africa is known both for having a primarily youthful population and for its elders being held in high esteem. However, this situation is changing: people in Africa are living longer, some for many years with chronic, disabling illnesses. In Ghana, many older people, rather than experiencing a sense of security that they will be respected and cared for by the younger generations, feel anxious that they will be abandoned and neglected by their kin. In response to their concerns about care, they and their kin are exploring new kinds of support for aging adults, from paid caregivers to social groups and senior day centers. These innovations in care are happening in fits and starts, in episodic and scattered ways, visible in certain circles more than others. By examining emergent discourses and practices of aging in Ghana, Changes in Care makes an innovative argument about the uneven and fragile processes by which some social change occurs. Existe una toponimia común de los países llamados prehispánicos, anterior a los contactos iniciados hace cinco siglos. Numerosos escritos de esas primeras épocas dejan claro que los nativos hablaban lenguas no comprensibles para los hispanoparlantes, pero que existía una inquietante línea de entendimiento con los vascos que allí acudían. Multilingual Thesaurus of Geosciences
This thesaurus is presented in six languages, English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish, and sponsored by the International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) and the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). There is a main list of approximately 5000 key terms together with indexes and translations which include a specific linguistic index and a field index in which key terms have been classified by field.
