Setelah 1 Syawwal temperatur ibadah turun seratus delapan puluh derajat.
This book is devoted to one of the main problems of modern electrical power engineering—power transformer diagnostics. The first three chapters discuss the fundamentals: The first chapter presents the physical reasons for power transformers’ failures and the technical and economic consequences of disruption of the normal operation. The second chapter reviews the standard technologies for monitoring the state of the high-voltage transformers. The third chapter tells about monitoring the condition of transformer windings based on the pulse method. The fourth chapter presents the technologies for transformer windings condition controlled by means of nanosecond pulses. The stages of improving the pulsed method based on a short probing pulse of the nanosecond range, the results of experiments on identifying the radial and axial displacements of the winding, studies of the effect of the duration and shape of the probing pulse on the sensitivity of the diagnostic procedure, and the stages of developing a mathematical as well as physical model of a power transformer are consistently presented.
The paper estimates the impact of macroeconomic supply- and demand-side determinants of tourism, one of the largest components of services exports globally, and the backbone of many smaller economies. It applies the gravity model to a large dataset comprising the full universe of bilateral tourism flows spanning over a decade. The results show that the gravity model explains tourism flows better than goods trade for equivalent specifications. The elasticity of tourism with respect to GDP of the origin (importing) country is lower than for goods trade. Tourism flows respond strongly to changes in the destination country’s real exchange rate, along both extensive (tourist arrivals) and intensive (duration of stay) margins. OECD countries generally exhibit higher elasticties with respect to economic variables (GDPs of the two economies, real exchange rate, bilateral trade) due to the larger share of business travel. Tourism to small islands is less sensitive to changes in the country’s real exchange rate, but more susceptible to the introduction/removal of direct flights.
"The publication of the second edition of The Economics of Tourism is a timely contribution to the theory and practice of tourism. The book retains both the rigour and relevance to the study of tourism as the original text which is considered to be the gold standard of tourism economics and is a must for those who study and undertake research into tourism from economic, environmental and social perspectives." Professor Haiyan Song, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, HK "This Second Edition is a "Wikipedia" of tourism economic research and strategic thinking and a must read for academic, corporate and policy thinkers. It builds on the earlier solid economic analysis of the sector to reflect contemporary geopolitical and socioeconomic issues. Going beyond a globalizing, poverty divided world to one where climate, population, resources and the green economy are dominant issues. We are proud of its genesis and continuing association with TTRI." Professor Geoffrey Lipman, University of Nottingham, UK
The achievements of medieval Muslim scholars in the fields of philosophy, science and medicine are now well recognized, and Franz Rosenthal's work has been instrumental in helping us to understand these. In this third collection of his articles, he demonstrates the information to be gained from tracing the Greek roots of the science and medicine of the Islamic world in the Middle Ages. Of particular concern here are the Hellenistic or late Hellenistic authors such as Galen, Hippocrates or Ptolemy. These articles show how Muslim writers have preserved much that has been lost in the Greek and played a vital part in ensuring the continuity of the classical tradition, and examine some of the specific ways in which they reacted to and developed it.
This title makes an important contribution to our understanding of British rule in the Nile Valley, with special relevance to the important role of the Sudan in Anglo-Egyptian relations until 1956. It examines British policy in Egypt in some detail and compares the relative importance of the Middle East and North Africa in shaping Egypt's regional policy since the advent of Muhammad Ali.
