The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research marked its 25th anniversary in 2023 while consulting on a new strategy. This year's report captures a time of transition, wrapping up projects while positioning ourselves for success in a new strategic period. In 2023, the Alliance supported 14 ongoing projects, representing 147 grants across 69 countries. Health equity for persons with disabilities – Guide for action, referred to as the Disability inclusion guide for action, provides practical guidance on the process that ministries of health should lead on to integrate disability inclusion into health systems governance, planning, and monitoring processes. It serves as the foundational resource to enable ministries of health and partners to implement the recommendations in the WHO Global report on health equity for persons with disabilities.
