Agriculture Statistics Yearbook, 1996
This yearbook is a primary source of fundamental agricultural statistics for Alberta, based on information from Statistics Canada, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, and the provincial agricultural ministry. The yearbook begins with a section that provides summary data tables, describes recent statistical developments in Alberta's agri-food sector, and makes comparisons with the previous year's data. Subsequent sections contain statistics & commentary on: farm income; population & economic indicators; employment & wages; field crops; livestock, poultry, & aquaculture; the dairy industry; food & beverages; agri-food exports; and characteristics of farms as revealed in the Census of Agriculture.
