El Simposio Internacional sobre Trabajo infantil y su erradicación en el marco de la meta 8.7 de la agenda 2030. Cuestiones plurales se gestó como un marco de reflexión colectiva en torno a la idea del trabajo decente. Aunque no pretendía pecar de eurocentrismo, sin embargo, como consecuencia de los tiempos así como de la opción por la potenciación del español como lengua vehicular de la actividad académica ius-social, ha podido frenar la potencia de creación de sinergias.

Luc Cortebeek expone en esta obra sus experiencias y puntos de vista, lo que supone una llamada a la reflexión y, sobre todo, a la acción. Luc Cortebeeck lleva más de cincuenta años trabajando por la justicia social. En la OIT, como miembro del Grupo Trabajador, fue durante 12 años vicepresidente de la Comisión de Normas (2000-2011), vicepresidente del Consejo de Administración (2011-2017) y presidente del mismo Consejo (2017-2018). Fue miembro hasta 2021.
