La crónica y la crítica musical en Medellín, 1937-1961
A través de esta selección, cercana a los cien textos, se puede realizar una aproximación a las transformaciones de las prácticas musicales, las representaciones e imaginarios y la música académica en Medellín entre 1937 y 1961. En ellos se manifiesta la idea de progreso y civilización que marcó una época importante en los imaginarios de ciudad y cultura desde finales del siglo XIX hasta mediados del siglo xx, la noción de deleite estético, con clara influencia del romanticismo, y las teorías del siglo XIX, reflexiones sobre el gusto, la cultura popular, los espacios para la sociabilización, la música nacional, las políticas culturales y la educación musical especializada, entre otros. Tanto Zulategi como Vega Bustamante fueron prolíficos en la cantidad de textos publicados, así como en las temáticas abordadas. Será otra labor la publicación total de ellos, lo cual implica por lo menos una veintena de volúmenes.

Centering Hope as a Sustainable Decolonial Practice
Where is the hope? What does it look like? Is the Christian church providing a hope that materializes in the grounding of people’s thriving? These questions posed the catalysts of this work where the author sets up a journey that parses the definition of hope within Christian theology as an ontological category of the human experience. Through ethnographic research and ecclesial study of diverse congregations in Puerto Rico the work moves from an articulation of context, hope, practice, and future to reveal its aim of liberation through a hope that can be sustainable in time and space. She analyzes the operations of political systems that suppress hope in the island. Weaving the theme of a theology of hope, with the fields of ecclesiology, memory studies, postcolonial and decolonial theory, liberation theology, and the study of social movements she builds a model that puts hope at the center of socio-economic practices and moves toward a recipe for a hope that is sustainable in practice.

That period saw the highest point in the dominance by the Popular Party; and it also saw the fall and rebirth of the pro-Statehood movement (from 12.87%% in '52 to 34.8%% in '64), coupled with the rise and fall of the pro-Independence movement (from 18.98%% in '52 to 2.81%% in '64).
