Cultural Policy and Management in Borderlands
This book uncovers the processes at play in the development of cultural policies, projects and networks in spaces at the edge of their countries, marked by their proximity with a borderline. On a subject which is studied mainly in North America and Western Europe and based on individual case studies, its originality lies in offering a comparative view on the subject, as well as in comparing a European case – the France-Germany borderlands – to a South American case – the Brazil-Uruguay borderlands. Through a multi-sited ethnographic study, the author develops an analysis of the formal and informal processes and networks which sustain this cultural action, looking at the relative contribution of processes led by institutions, cultural agents and the civil society. This book provides theoretical tools for the analysis of the way cultural ecosystems function in borderlands and is valuable reading for scholars of cultural policy, geography and arts management.

Il distretto culturale evoluto
Nell’ultimo ventennio la competitività territoriale ha modificato profondamente gli obbiettivi d’intervento delle amministrazioni pubbliche verso il patrimonio culturale, sempre più spesso considerato uno strumento per il rilancio economico dei territori. Le tecniche d’indagine connesse ai temi della creative city e del cultural planning trovano ampio spazio nell’agenda politica europea e nazionale ove, però, la dimensione cognitivo-relazionale dell’economia creativa è fatta coincidere con il modello produttivo tutto italiano del distretto culturale evoluto. Il volume si concentra sul distretto culturale evoluto come “rete di relazione” capace di generare ecosistemi supportivi per l’innovazione, proponendo un framework teorico per lo studio dei suoi assetti organizzativi, delle forme d’integrazione tra la filiera culturale e le altre filiere produttive, dei legami con i cluster dell’innovazione tecnologica, del turismo e dell’agroalimentare.

INPUT aCAdemy Conference will focus on contemporary planning issues with particular attention to ecosystem services, green and blue infrastructure and governance and management of Natura 2000 sites and coastal marine areas. INPUT aCAdemy 2019 is organized within the GIREPAM Project (Integrated Management of Ecological Networks through Parks and Marine Areas), co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in relation to the 2014-2020 Interreg Italy – France (Maritime) Programme. La multidimensionalità del patrimonio culturale ha portato negli ultimi tempi a una specializzazione delle politiche e delle professioni nel campo della sua tutela e valorizzazione, incrementando le occasioni di cross-fertilisation tra diversi saperi. Il volume si concentra sulla programmazione culturale europea e nazionale, sulle misure di tutela e le forme di valorizzazione previste dalla pianificazione territoriale e paesaggistica nella riforma del governo del territorio, sul ruolo del patrimonio culturale nella definizione di strategie di rigenerazione urbana metropolitana.
