Robinson Crusoe is a sailor from York who, on an expedition through Africa by ship, is captured by pirates and becomes a slave.He manages to escape and is helped by a Portuguese navy captain, who goes to Brazil. Together they decide to help the other prisoners captured by the indigenous people, one of whom is a Spaniard who is also a castaway awaiting the arrival of a ship.
