Autorzy monografii podjęli wątki związane z uwarunkowaniami środowiskowymi i społecznymi, przedstawiając jednocześnie ich finansowe konsekwencje dla działalności przedsiębiorstwa. W rezultacie, w opracowaniu udało się w wymiarze teoretycznym wykazać, że podejmowane w sposób uporządkowany i skoordynowany działania na rzecz realizacji celów rozwoju zrównoważonego można i należy rozpatrywać w powiązaniu z finansami.
