A Administração Pública, através do controle, pode realizar a verificação dos atos e fatos da Gestão Pública, no intuito de analisar se os propósitos estabelecidos foram concretizados, fiscalizar a conformidade das ações públicas, bem como pode ser um instrumento relevante na composição do planejamento, na avaliação da congruência dos atos e fatos, auxiliando na correção de erros e, assim, garantir a execução do planejamento e compliance. Esse livro possui, como objetivo geral, propor um modelo de Controle Interno para as Câmaras Municipais que possa imputar mais confiabilidade, credibilidade, controle da execução e melhor acesso às informações. Para isso, evidenciaram-se os aspectos doutrinários e legais da controladoria e do controle interno na Administração Pública, bem como~~,~~ buscou-se verificar acerca do funcionamento do Controle Interno das Câmaras Municipais em alguns municípios da Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza, no Estado do Ceará.

Industrial and urban wastes, agricultural application and also mining activities resulted in an increased concentration of heavy metals in soils. Biomonitoring of Coastal Waters and Estuaries
This volume presents techniques on chemical and biological monitoring of biota in estuaries and coastal waters that have been applied successfully in the real environment. The detection of man-made adverse effects upon this ecosystem is illustrated for various biological organizational levels, from biological entities to communities. Several groups of biota that are typically being used in biomonitoring studies in the coastal environment are covered, such as molluscs, crustaceans, corals, fish, and macrophytes.
