S pello, la Rossa è un libro su Spello che intende guardare oltre Spello. L’obiettivo è studiare i cambiamenti politici di un piccolo comune della provincia “rossa” dell’Italia centrale per descrivere i processi di istituzionalizzazione e trasformazione democratica registrati su più ampia scala tra il XX e il XXI secolo. In questa prospettiva, Spello diventa un “caso studio”, la cui storia locale viene utilizzata per spiegare il mutamento delle subculture politiche nazionali, i conflitti in esse maturati e il ruolo dei partiti di sinistra all’interno del Paese.
